Brim circumference: 47.5 cm / 18.5”.
Total length when brim folded: 24 cm / 9.5”.
The beanie will fit over most adult size heads.
Tip: If the beanie feels too tight you can soak it and gently stretch it out while it's damp to increase the circumference. If the beanie feels too loose, you can sew in an see through elastic thread (often found in the jewellery making section in craft shops) to help tighten the brim.
Gauge:
19 sts x 27 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 4 mm (US6) needles in St st holding 1 strand of mohair and 1 strand of merino together, before blocking.
21 sts x 26 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 3 mm (US2.5) needles in 1x1 rib holding 1 strand of mohair and 1 strand of merino together, before blocking.
Needles:
4 mm (US6) circular needles 40-60 cm / 16-24” (or longer ones for magic loop technique), and 4 mm (US6) DPNs for crown shaping if you’re not using magic loop technique.
3 mm (US2.5) circular needles 40-60 cm / 16-24” (or longer ones for magic loop technique) for rib.
